Located in one of the most diverse and dynamic business centers in the world, the Miami Herbert Business School at the University of Miami offers unparalleled opportunities to learn, engage and grow. The graduates are thought-leaders who transform business, scholarship and lives. Natural Leader

Earning his BBA from Miami Herbert, Miami native Ronald Manning is currently a full-time MBA candidate with prior experience in sales, business development and marketing. “I want to help create a world that everyone wants to live in,” he says. “I try to accomplish that through entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation.” Establishing relationships, understanding what motivates others, and collaborating toward a shared goal is what propels him on a daily basis. “I focus on making people feel comfortable, understanding what excites them, and figuring out where they do their best work,” he says. “That approach has helped me naturally step into leadership roles by building teams that are cohesive, motivated, and genuinely enjoy working together.”

Perfect Balance

As the Sr. Director of Strategy & Enablement For Causal, Andreina van Maanen takes the lessons she learned through her Global Executive MBA to help brands spend their media dollars more intelligently by aligning strategy, measurement and business goals. “I love that moment when something finally clicks and you can clearly see how to make it better,” she says. “That ‘aha’ never gets old!” The most challenging part is getting people to think differently. “How you frame an idea matters just as much as the idea itself,” she says. “If you can’t meet people where they are, even the best strategy won’t land.” She advises fellow leaders to be conscious of establishing balance in their lives. “Your personal life isn’t separate from your success, it fuels it,” she says. “The more fulfilled you are outside of work, the stronger you show up as a leader.”

Always Evolving

Working at the intersection of AI, operations and creative industries, Jonathan Kaslow transforms complex ideas and data into practical tools. Having spent years running businesses and projects and earning his Master of Science in Business Technology, he approaches AI with a practical, operator mindset. Always drawn to computers and software through digital music production, his curiosity shifted from building songs to building software tools, which made learning AI and new tech stacks a natural progression. “Always be willing to constantly reinvent yourself and stay closely tuned to how your industry is changing,” he says. “What worked yesterday won’t carry you very far tomorrow.”

Global Success

Leading a financial firm that operates across capital markets and wealth management, Lautaro D. Marra works with institutional investors and private clients, navigating global markets through a combination of investment expertise, strategic advice and technology-driven solutions. “A common misconception is that finance is only about numbers and excessive complexity, but in reality, it’s often simpler than most people think, especially when you have realistic expectations about what can actually be achieved,” he says. “At its core, it’s about discipline, judgment and making sound decisions over time.” In the process of earning his Executive Doctorate in Business Administration, he enjoys blending leadership and problem-solving while navigating complex financial environments. “I combine hands-on market experience with a strategic, analytical mindset focused on long-term value creation,” he says. “Long-term success comes from consistency, integrity and the ability to keep learning.”

Strategic Outlook

As the Director of Operations for the Patty Accorto Team at Keller Williams Realty, Ashley Maroon is putting her MBA to good use. “My role blends strategy, systems and relationship-building to help people navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives,” she says. “At the core, I help turn complex processes into smooth, intentional experiences.” Her favorite part is building something bigger than herself — from systems to teams and experiences that genuinely serve people and communities. “The most challenging part is balancing speed with precision in a fast-moving market where conditions change quickly,” she says. “It forces you to stay adaptable, thoughtful and decisive all at once.” Her secret to success is consistency and intention. “I focus on building strong systems, staying disciplined in my habits, and continuously learning from people who are doing the work at a high level,” she says. “I believe success compounds when preparation meets opportunity.”
