Tender Triumph

In the world of acting, the understudy dreams of outshining the star yet rarely does. In the world of yachting, a lowly tender outshining a superyacht has never happened. Alia’s new Atlantico changes all that.

While superyachts exist to redefine the concepts of luxury, excellence and technology, their small support vessels — “tenders” — tend to be basic RIBs or center consoles. Alia Yachts offers a remarkable alternative in the form of their Atlantico. This 27-meter support vessel is superbly designed to transport owners and guests to and from shore in complete comfort and safety. However, rather than being yet another water taxi, it’s more accurately a mini superyacht. Alia’s many years creating epic superyachts are apparent in Atlantico from the dramatic and purposeful exterior to the plush interior and accommodations. A trio of Volvo Penta D13 IPS engines deliver 3,000 hp for a top speed of 30 knots. While underway, passengers can choose from open-air seating forward or in the cockpit, enjoying a stable ride in all sea conditions thanks to Seakeeper Gyro Stabilizing Systems. The enclosed areas include a salon/dining area adjacent to the helm, with overnight accommodations for 4, as well as crew quarters tucked below. All this and a range of 600 miles allows Atlantico to be ideal for exploring local waters while the superyacht is at anchor; AliaYachts.com.
