The network of pediatric subspecialists at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital collaborate with providers in the community to offer comprehensive, coordinated care and support from prenatal diagnosis to delivery, post-natal care and the transition to infant care. Nurse navigators, available 24 hours a day, optimize patient care access and convenience. The navigator meets with expectant parents and arranges all necessary imaging and specialty consultations to take place all in one day, when possible. What’s more, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will soon begin construction on a 10-bed special delivery unit for healthy mothers expecting a high-risk infant, ensuring immediate access to critical care. The Fetal Care Center’s concierge approach to family-centered care includes prenatal counseling, genetic consultations, fetal, ultrasound, MRI, echocardiography diagnostics and diagnosis-specific specialty consultations; 844.553.3825; NicklausChildrens.org/FetalCare.
