Stop for a minute and think of how many times you’ve really been in love. Once? Twice? 50+ times? Never? For some people, love is a 4-letter word; for others, finding it is one of life’s great goals. But it isn’t easy. Anyone who’s ever serial dated knows it’s not simple to find a perfect match, to immediately feel that earth-moving chemistry at first glance that slowly grows stronger with time, with each new experience, photo, caress, kiss and gaze. Love takes time. It takes work. It’s about communication and appreciation. About respect and passion. About conflict and resolution. It’s about a lot of things, but one thing it can’t be is selfish. When I asked you at the beginning of this memo how many times you’ve really been in love, who did you think about? Who was the first person to pop into your head? We connect with countless people throughout our lives, but there’s only a handful that earn the keys to our heart. And that’s something we should all try to keep sacred. TRUE LOVE…
When people ask Brock & Catalina how they met, they look at each other and smile. The couple has been virtually inseparable since she bid on a date with him at last year’s Switchboard Of Miami Bachelor Auction at Conrad. Although Catalina arrived to the event with absolutely no intention of bidding, she just couldn’t help herself when Brock strutted on stage. “That night, a very beautiful philanthropist paid good money for an eligible bachelor…and the rest is history,” Brock says.
