Lotus is well-known for nimble sportscars that scare and excite us simultaneously. The Lotus Evora GT430 is the most powerful of the brand’s models to date, owing to the combination of a fire-belching 430-hp supercharged V6 and a barely-there weight of 2,775 pounds. The huge wing, titanium exhaust and 4 traction-control modes (Drive, Sport, Race and our favorite — Off) reflect the GT430’s track-proven bloodline. If you dare, you’ll arrive at 60 mph in a scant 3.7 seconds and soon after see the speedometer needle point at 190 mph (and flashing blue lights waaaaaay behind you). There’s even a practical side, as the compact size that fits into even the tightest parking garage spot lets you convert your daily commute into an adrenalin-soaked adventure. With a production run limited to 60 worldwide, chances are slim you’ll ever end up next to another one at a stoplight. But if you happen to miss out on the GT430, console yourself with its more-readily available brother, the Evora Sport 410; LotusCars.com.
