Professor and Vice Dean of Lifelong Learning & Executive Education, Ann M. Olazábal has been named Interim Dean for the University of Miami Patti & Allan Herbert Business School. “It’s an honor to be asked to lead the school that has nourished and supported me academically and professionally for 26 years,” she says. “Miami Herbert is a unique place with extraordinary faculty, students, staff and alumni that are change-makers. I look forward to working with them all in continuing the School’s momentum and upward trajectory.” Olazábal, a 1997 M.B.A. alumna of the school who earned her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School, has served in leadership positions at Miami Herbert Business School for more than 10 years, including as Vice Dean of Undergraduate Business Education from 2011 to 2021, and chair of the Business Law Department from 2017 to 2021. She is also former Editor-in-Chief of American Business Law Journal. Prior to her career in academia, she worked as an attorney in private practice in Arizona and later as Vice President & General Counsel of an international exporting firm in Miami; Herbert.Miami.edu.
