For the past 17 years, Teresa Murphy has delivered joy through her event “Team Santa” providing a holiday party “winter wonderland” with gifts, goodies and caroling for homeless families at Chapman Partnership centers in Miami and Homestead. She is also a cancer warrior now undergoing radiation and chemotherapy for breast cancer; and was recently named Miami-Dade County Public Schools “Teacher Of The Year.” Due to her spirit of generosity, compassion and commitment, she exemplifies Chapman Partnership’s Inspiration Award which she will receive May 7 at the organization’s annual fundraiser. The event is an opportunity to illuminate the organization, honor the women who are, (or have been) homeless, and to bring attention to those combatting homelessness; ChapmanPartnership.com.
