Originally from Buenos Aires, Miami-based artist Lara Restelli uses color, form and composition as the pillars of her artistic expression. From her studio, she paints larger-than-life, realistic paintings that are full of color and convey a great sense of joy, balance, emotion and serenity, yet are strong and powerful. “Making art is a healing practice, like meditation,” she says. “It keeps me grounded every day, feeds my soul and calms my mind.” As a child, she says her imagination always ruled her play. “I was always creative and resourceful,” she says. “It wasn’t until after motherhood that I discovered my true passion for art.” In fact, her maternal instincts kick in every time she sees one of her masterpieces on display. “It’s like watching your child walk or say their first words,” she says. “It’s pure joy.” To date, she has successfully exhibited in many well-established art shows, including MIFA Gallery, Superfine Art Fair, Red Dot Miami, Art Palm Beach and ArtsParks Miami. Restelli’s artwork has also found its way into the homes of many private collectors and numerous prestigious condominiums including Aria On The Bay, Melody, Square Station, Flagler On The River and Skyview.
