Asha Walker founded the nonprofit Health In The Hood to be a great equalizer of food justice. They build vegetable gardens in urban neighborhoods, distribute fresh produce from local farms, provide jobs, teach nutrition and fitness classes, and offer wellness programs while creating sustainable local food ecosystems. In addition, Asha launched Cured, a new holistic wellness app consisting of more than a year’s worth of content categorized around food, movement and longevity practices. It’s designed for everyone, from those in need of learning about healthier food options to newly curious health enthusiasts and seasoned holistic practitioners; AshaWalkerWellness.com; HealthInTheHood.org
