
That’s when she founded the Glioblastoma Research Organization (GBMRO), a local nonprofit that raises awareness and funds for cutting-edge research to find a cure for glioblastoma. In the last few years, the Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur has raised over $1.5 million to fund research projects at leading cancer centers throughout the U.S. and Europe, including Cleveland Clinic, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, UHealth at the University of Miami and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. The organization’s life source is connecting individuals from across the globe who are facing similar situations so that they don’t have to suffer alone after diagnosis.
