The goal of Girl Power Rocks is to affect positive change within the community. Created to empower young girls and their families to succeed in order to protect, restore and preserve the family unit, some of the programs provided by Girl Power Rocks include Summer Camp, Girls’ Choir, Sister Circle Mentoring, After-School Programs and a Teen Outreach Program. The organization has been around for over 15 years, instilling in girls and young women the importance of being strong and smart, to perform well in life, be productive, embrace the world and succeed. Through it all, they’ve facilitated confidence, which is essential in any young woman’s life as it relates to education, creativity, aspirations, social awareness and self-esteem.
