But many of us have evolved to such a great extent as human beings during these challenging times that we may never want to go back to the way things used to be. A modern-day Allegory of the Cave, if you will. Think about it. What if 2020 is the year we never knew we needed until we were forced to endure it? What if we look back at this as a turning point, a time in history when humanity collectively wakes up, bands together and is forced to learn and grow like never before? Unity. Acceptance. Compassion. Innovation. These are concepts too easily forgotten. I say 2020 shouldn’t be cancelled, no, on the contrary, I think 2020 is just what we need to push ourselves toward a brighter future and a deeper understanding of the world around us.
