True Gentlemen

For a landmark 33 years, the 12 Good Men has been the premier fundraising luncheon celebrating male philanthropy and honoring civic champions in our community. This May 1, Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida will once again gather the region’s most influential leaders to honor a new cohort of extraordinary men who exemplify the spirit of service and community engagement. It serves as a vital lifeline for the the new 7-story Griffin Family Campus, directly supporting RMHC South Florida’s operational needs and ensuring that families with seriously ill children have access to essential resources, including lodging and meals. To date, the event has recognized nearly 400 distinguished men and raised $2.5 million for “The House That Love Built.”; RMHCSouthFlorida.org.

Foodie Haven

Set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, SAVOR SoFLO transforms the Hollywood Broadwalk into a playground of flavor, where festival-goers can indulge in gourmet bites, craft beers, fine wines, premium spirits and cooking demos. From returning fan-favorites like Margaritaville Restaurants, Morton’s and The Palm to fresh new culinary talents making their debut, the festival delivers the best of South Florida’s vibrant food scene in one unforgettable weekend. Sustainability takes center stage, too. In line with the City of Hollywood’s green initiatives, all vendors will use compostable or biodegradable materials, keeping the beach as pristine as the dishes on display. Apr. 18 & 19; General Admission ($120) grants access to unlimited tastings, live entertainment, and full festival fun from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.; VIP ($150) adds early entry at 12 p.m. and exclusive access to the Publix Liquors VIP Spirits Lounge. Creative Oasis

Tucked just north of the Design District, Miami Ironside is a well-kept secret that hooks you from the first visit. Originally Miami’s first adaptive reuse property, it’s evolved from an industrial warehouse into a human-scaled campus anchored by food, fashion, craft, wellness, and retail, alongside public art and lush outdoor spaces. On-site dining includes Ironside Pizza, a lively spot serving Neapolitan-inspired pies, calzones, and classic Italian fare; and Ironside Café Bistro, offering organic artisanal coffee, fresh salads, panini, and seasonal dishes in a leafy courtyard. The campus also hosts an active calendar of wellness classes, creative workshops, retail and vintage markets, talks, run clubs, and community and networking gatherings, reinforcing its identity as a place to linger, connect and explore its layered, quietly magnetic charm; MiamiIronside.com.
