Justin Shanholtzer opened his studio in The Magic City 3 years ago, where he teaches about alignment and form on the Reformer Machine to work toward longer, leaner muscles with less bulk. The studio has a smaller setting to provide more hands-on training, so your experience is like a one-on-one session but with no membership requirements or contracts and competitive class rates. Shanholtzer worked his way to Miami from a small rural farming town in Illinois, with stops along the way working at the YMCA, Gold’s Gym, Disney Wonder cruise ship and MTV. He’s also worked with Denise Austin and is in the Denise Austin Hot Body Yoga DVD. In addition to his dedication to teaching, Shanholtzer is also working on a couple of fitness and lifestyle books out soon; ReformingPilates.com.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we introduce you to a few of Miami’s most dynamic Latino leaders who are breaking the mold and making the city thrive
