DAY 1: Get the latest copy of You Are Here by world-renowned Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh. The book on tape is your most reasonable option for on-the-go absorbtion…who has time to read anymore, anyway? ($21.32, Amazon.com)
DAY 2: As soon as you’re ready to start peace project, go to Meetup.com and find a donation-based yoga class in town. Bayfront Park has free yoga sessions every Mon. & Wed. starting at 6 p.m. Just make sure to bring some cash for a tip. ($10 suggested donation)
DAY 3: Become a vegetarian for a day. Miami has amazing options, like the super-fresh and delicious Green Gables Café, were you can start your day with a low-fat yogurt parfait for $5.50. For lunch, you can grab a delectable quinoa salad at Govinda’s Garden for $10.99, their sizeable portion and fresh ingredients are sure to satisfy you. As for dinner, you can stop by your local grocery store to pick up goodies for a delightful veggie wrap. Add some leafy greens, tomatoes, roasted zucchini and hummus and you’ll have a tasty meal without breaking your budget — or your belly. ($25 for 3 meals)
DAY 4: Clear out the clutter. Organize all your ish! Get rid of anything that isn’t serving a purpose in your home and donate it to a charity of your choice. Decluttering your home allows you to declutter your mind. (Free)
DAY 5: It’s time to go into digital detox mode. Use this night to abstain from using your cellphone, tablet or computer.
