“Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it’s temporary — you can fight it, you can scream, shout and stay stuck in the way things used to be — or you can embrace it and begin creating something greater.”
I’m so incredibly inspired by the features we have curated in this issue — from a photo essay of front porch portraits by acclaimed Photographer Wioletta Bublik, who photographed 100+ Miami families during quarantine, to innovative locals launching exciting new ventures, offering everything from services and goods to once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Everywhere we turn, Miami is living up to our name as the “Entrepreneurial Capital of the World.” It’s in our DNA: We’re nicknamed “The Magic City” because we became a full-fledged city overnight — like magic! — and we will continue to evolve our sprawling urban paradise long after the pandemic is ancient history. Because one thing we can always count on is that Miami is resilient and we will always overcome all the odds, no matter how challenging the obstacles we encounter along the way.
