Leo’s Watch

To underscore the precision and beauty of this new timepiece, IWC chose to name it after Leonardo Da Vinci, who possessed an incredible ability to create mechanical marvels ranging from flying machines to a tank.

Utilizing a flying tourbillon located at the 6 o’clock position, and fitted with a silicone lever and escape wheel to allow a stop-second feature (a design that is beyond the ability of most watchmakers!) the IWC Da Vinci Tourbillon Rétrograde Chronograph can be set to tell time accurately to the second. The crisp white dial is accented by a retrograde calendar arcing along on the left side, with a chronograph dial at the 12 o’clock location. The 18kt 5N red gold case measures a hefty 44mm across and 17mm high, housing an in-house movement with a retrograde date, flyback chronograph, 68-hour power reserve and a sapphire glass back that allows a view of the works in motion; IWC.com.
