IRL Impact

As the fireworks celebrating 2020 came and went, something magical happened: People started reaching out to old and new contacts to reconnect IRL.

Social media, email, text, IM and jumping on a quick call with someone is all well and good when you need to make a brief introduction or follow up on a pressing issue but there’s nothing like getting together in real life. Next time you find yourself trying to “stay in touch” with loved ones, professional contacts and associates of years past, aim instead to schedule a lunch, brunch, happy hour or dinner with them. You may create a unique opportunity and experience something that technology will never be able to fully replicate: An IRL connection.
