The latest Montblanc Writers Edition Collection pays tribute to the legacy of Joseph Rudyard Kipling, author of The Jungle Book and the first English-language writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. The compelling design of the pen is inspired by The Jungle Book and If, a poem written in the form of paternal advice to a son. The colorful characters in the epic novel are represented through the design, while the matte resin of the cap and barrel in green matches the color of the cover of the first U.S. edition of Kipling’s masterpiece. The clip in the shape of a wolf’s head is inspired by the wolf pack responsible for the upbringing of Mowgli. The cap ring and cone ring are engraved with words from the author’s poem to his son: “If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs…you’ll be a man my son.” Simply put, this is an opus of a writing instrument; Montblanc.com.
