On Track

The inclusion of Miami onto the Formula 1 schedule was an epic moment in international racing, marking only the 11th venue in the U.S. to host a points-scoring round of the world championship. The Formula 1 Crytpo.com Miami Grand Prix features a new state-of-the-art 3.36-mile track with 19 turns, 3 straights (the longest being just over 3/4 of a mile in length), and a trio of DRS Zones that will test drivers to the limit as they reach top speeds of 198.8 mph. Plus, there are art exhibits, pop-up shops, plenty of authentic Miami-based cuisine, and a wide variety of activations and other race-related fun to keep attendees entertained throughout the races; May 3-5; F1MiamiGP.com.

Heroic Honor

It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s all the branches of the U.S. Military that keep the American Dream safe, performing daring feats in the sky and on the waters just off our shores during the Hyundai Air & Sea Show. Walk through 4 city blocks of interactive military displays and action-packed demonstrations along Ocean Drive, including a jet cockpit photo op. There’s more adventure to be found at the Action & Kids Zones, and a selection of fun eats at the food court. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Miami event without great music, featuring performances by the country’s top musical acts, as well as rousing U.S. Military bands. As the sun sets, a breathtaking 3D Mapping Projection on historic Art Deco buildings will adorn the iconic structures, paying homage to our nation’s heroes, followed by a spectacular fireworks show; May 25-26; USASalute.com.
