As Go Red For Women celebrates 20 years of making a critical impact, Miami-Dade & Broward leaders come together at the South Florida Go Red For Women Luncheon on May 17. This year’s Community Volunteer Chairs for the South Florida area Go Red For Women movement are Kathy Salerno, Broward Health Executive Director of Community Relations, and Ana VeigaMilton, President of the José Milton Foundation. “Witnessing how the work of the American Heart Association affects the lives of everyday Americans is what inspired me to chair the Movement this year,” says Salerno. “I know we can take our message of self-care and prevention to even more women than ever this year.” VeigaMilton adds: “Together, we will have a positive impact on the lives of women in our community and the families that depend on them.” Go Red For Women is a worldwide initiative of the American Heart Association designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women locally, nationally and globally; GoRedForWomen.org.
