Created for pilots and built to withstand extreme conditions, the IWC Top Gun has a great name, and an equally impressive list of attributes and features. The innovative “jet black” 41 mm ceramic case is as durable and scratch-resistant as it is eye-catching, while also being extremely light, water-resistant to 10 bars of pressure, and corrosion-resistant. The in-house column-wheel design automatic movement features a 46-hour power reserve and is housed in a soft iron inner case to mitigate the effects of magnetism. The 33-jewel movement drives the hour, minute, and second hands, as well as the elapsed subdials controlled by the pushers bracketing the crown. The hands and hour marks are all treated to be highly-visible under low-light conditions as they sweep around the matte black dial. This striking “pilot’s” timepiece is ideal even for those with a fear of heights; IWC.com.
