If you know Miami, then you know Vizcaya — the iconic Gilded Age estate and National Historic Landmark nestled between Downtown Miami and Coconut Grove. But have you heard of Vizcaya Village? When the grand estate was built in 1916, it came complete with a village and farm, mimicking the villas of Northern Italy that inspired its design. Vizcaya Village still exists today and is undergoing a multiphase restoration that will create new community spaces for the public to enjoy. The first of these is a new Village Café scheduled to launch in Spring 2024, offering delicious grab-and-go options for locals to enjoy. With the café’s introduction, Vizcaya Village further cements its place as a cultural and educational hub, enhancing the visitor experience by offering a new dimension to the exploration of Miami’s rich heritage;
