Celebrating 25 years of thriving business, the Coral Gables Business Improvement District (BID) has launched fun ongoing events and creative initiatives, including a series of concert performances hosted in partnership with the Frost School of Music in Downtown Coral Gables on McBride Plaza; the Capture Coral Gables photography competition at the Coral Gables Museum; pop-up Shakespeare shorts in courtyards and gardens around town; and much more. There’s always a surprise experience somewhere. The BID has overseen modern upgrades like the Streetscape Project and Giralda Plaza, an enhanced aesthetic and an augmented pedestrian-friendly experience. They encourage and support artistic and cultural installations and events, such as Umbrella Sky on Giralda Avenue and Murals up and down Miracle Mile. The pedestrian-friendly neighborhood is home to over 350 merchants offering food and beverage, beauty, apparel and specialty retail among the most popular storefronts in the area, drawing thousands of visitors daily; ExperienceCoralGables.com.
