The Voices For Children Foundation will host its 27th Annual Be A Voice Gala at the Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key on Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. The venue has hosted the annual Be A Voice fundraising gala since its opening in 2000. What began as a 200-person event has grown to over 450 community members all committed to the Voices’ Mission. “We are grateful for the longstanding support and partnership of the Mandarin Oriental Miami and Swire Properties,” says Voices For Children Foundation’s President & CEO Kadie Black. “This year’s final gala at the Mandarin Oriental will celebrate ‘The Magic of Partnerships,’ underscoring the importance of coalescing the community to protect children in the foster care system in Miami-Dade County that have experienced abuse, neglect and abandonment.” For 39 years, Voices has served as a beacon of hope for tens of thousands of children in foster care in Miami-Dade County by ensuring that every child has an advocate in court through the Guardian Ad Litem Program as well as access to basic needs, dignity items and experiences. The black-tie event includes a silent and live auction, which features local artists, businesses and service providers, as well as luxurious items for sale; BeAVoice.org.
