Large families, owners of large dogs, and those who need to move big, bulky objects will do well to consider the VW Atlas, a full-size SUV. Derived from the iconic Tuareg model, the Atlas has 96.8 sq. ft. of cargo area with the rear sets folded down, and room for the whole family or ballet class when they’re up. The passengers in the rear seating areas can relax, enjoying the smooth ride, a panoramic sunroof, and a Fender audio system. Drivers enjoy an uncluttered cockpit, with all controls within easy reach and a touchscreen system displaying vehicle system status and navigation information. When powered by the optional, very responsive 276-hp V6 linked to an 8-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive, the Atlas is nimble and fun to drive, especially in the optional SEL RL trim; VW.com.
