Multiple rescues have teamed up with Friends of Miami Animals (FoMA) and Wings of Rescue to give amazing animals, many of whom have spent more than 100 days at Miami-Dade Animal Services, another chance while creating a less crowded environment for other shelter pets. Although the transport missions are life-saving, they cost thousands of dollars to complete. From the flight and personnel to fuel, transport and everything in between, every little bit helps. In between flights, you can also make a difference by donating, fostering, adopting or volunteering with the organization. FoMA works with organizations and individuals to create awareness about the needs of homeless pets in Miami-Dade County. Through funding and support of increased volunteer participation at Miami-Dade Animal Services, they help improve and save the lives of homeless pets.
