The school recently welcomed 28 accomplished leaders into the inaugural class of its Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (E.D.B.A.) program, including senior figures from firms like PwC, Korn Ferry, and ConvaTec, as well as entrepreneurs, board members, and innovators shaping industries from private equity to healthcare. The program is designed for executives who want more than credentials; it’s for those hungry to push boundaries through research with real-world impact. “I’m honored to be part of the inaugural cohort and learn from world-class faculty,” says Carl Allen, General Partner at 9 FB Capital LLC. “I’m proud to be a ’Cane.” Unlike traditional Ph.D. programs, Miami Herbert’s Executive D.B.A. emphasizes applied research, blending online coursework with immersive campus residencies. It’s a rigorous 3-year journey meant to turn leaders into scholar-practitioners, bridging business knowledge with practice. For this first class, the degree is more than a milestone — it’s an opportunity to shape the future of business itself; Herbert.Miami.edu/EDBA.
