Fearless Fun

While many car manufacturers are promoting EV models and hybrids, Aston Martin serves up a V12-powered, asphalt-shredding, adrenalin-pumping beast.

In honor of the firm’s 110th Anniversary, the automaker thumbs their nose at political correctness with the Valour, a ride heavily inspired by the firm’s iconic V8-powered DBS, the one-off Victor track car, and the Vantage-based “Muncher” that intimidated other cars during the 1980 Le Mans Race. The carbon fiber exterior is best described as extremely aggressive, with throwback round headlights, a clamshell hood with a racing-inspired horseshoe cooling vent, an impressive grille, a louvered rear window, and an insouciant Kamm-style tail. The 5.2-liter, 705 hp, twin-turbo V-12 creates a menacing burble through the triple exhaust, and is controlled by an Italian-made Graziano 6-speed manual transmission that sends all that power via a mechanical limited-slip rear differential to the rear wheels.
