A friendly hall in an area bearing a local tenor not dissimilar to the wild west, The Peacock Inn welcomed many a weary traveler eager to explore our still-untamed region, including some of the city’s most notable (and notorious) early pioneers. Torn down in 1926, the area now known (and beloved) as Peacock Park was bought by the City of Miami and named for the founding family in 1973.
