The Irizarry Family is eternally grateful for the help of The Jackson Health Foundation during a life-saving kidney transplant. “This event solidified my desire to give back to Jackson and contribute in some way,” says Gregory Irizarry, Sr. VP of Wealth Management for Northern Trust. From afar, he observed the positive changes Jackson Health System CEO Carlos Migoya was implementing at the hospital and was honored when he was asked to join the Foundation board and be a part of its rebuilding process. “Giving back to others is the greatest fulfillment I have and the best life lesson I can leave my family,” he says. “I’m blessed and honored to be given the opportunities throughout my career and personal life to help others, and I hope to continue on this journey.” He recently completed his 22nd year with the bank, and looks forward to continuing to grow professionally with them. “As our family transitions to having a college-bound student, we have some travel plans in place,” he says. “I’m also planning on becoming even more involved in philanthropic work now that my wife and I will have more free time.” For more information or to get involved: 305.585.GIVE (4483); JacksonHealthFoundation.org.

Ultimately, it enriches both the giver and the receiver in ways that only those who experience altruism for themselves can understand.
