The Superleggera Aero 3 features coachwork handcrafted by the firm’s artisans, making it the vehicular equivalent of a bespoke Saville Row suit. While South Florida is awash in Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens and Bugattis, the potential to pull alongside another Aero 3 is quite slim as there are only 15 worldwide. The overall design harks back to the teardrop-shaped sportscars of the 1930s. The fin is perhaps the most striking design element; while it serves no aerodynamic function at normal driving speeds, it simply looks so cool that it had to be incorporated. The cockpit of this sleek two-seater is a tasteful symphony of fine leather, carbon fiber, polished and matte black aluminum. Superleggera is coy as to the origins of the chassis and V12 powerplant, but given the firm’s Italian roots, it seems likely there’s a prancing stallion residing under the hood. As proof the Aero 3 does more than just look good, the firm can accommodate specific engine and transmission requests from owners seeking the ultimate track toy.
