Founded in 1997, under the artistic direction of Ballet Master and internationally acclaimed choreographer Vladimir Issaev, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida has been impressing audiences for more than 22 years. The company has performed a rich repertoire in classical pieces and neoclassical works by Mr. Issaev and contemporary international guest choreographers. What most people don’t realize is that they also offer Scholarship Programs, the Dancing With Disabilities Program, the Arts Ballet Goes To School Program and Summer Intensive Programs. One touching aspect of their good work is inclusion of displaced Venezuelan children in such programs, kids whose families are going through the relocation process under a lot of stress. These children have not only achieved excellent goals at school, but also a very special place where they can grow artistically through dance. Amazingly, all these projects are completed every year with a minimal budget that does not reach $900,000 a year, and both the Artistic Director Mr. Vladimir Issaev and his wife, Executive Director Ruby Romero-Issaev, work pro bono for the organization. On the main stage, the company will reprise beautiful ballet for the entire family: Dr. Ouch! in March and end the season with their exquisite Spring Ballet Gala with a very challenging repertoire that includes excerpts of La Bayadere in April; ArtsBalletTheatre.com.
