Most of my earliest memories have to do with my life in, on and around the water. From lazy days at the beach with the family to being circled by a shark for the first time, pier jumping, bridge fishing in The Florida Keys and attending my first (and last!) Floatopia, there are too many great times to mention here. Every single time I travel to a landlocked place, it just doesn’t feel right. In college, I took a few Oceanography courses that further piqued my interest in the world just below the surface. Underwater mountain ranges, endless varieties of sea life, myths, legends, sea creatures and mermaids — the ocean is magic on so many levels. To this day, I go to the ocean to calm down, to breathe, to re-connect with nature, to recharge and to smile in the sunshine. For me, there’s really no place more peaceful, more inspiring, than the ocean and the constant ebb and flow of the tides that make the world go round.
