Whenever someone asks me how I know so much about Miami, my answer is simple: I walk a lot, weather pending, of course. My favorite thing to do on a bright sunny day is to get up, slather on some sunscreen, put on my sunglasses and a hat and head out to explore on foot. From Brickell to Downtown to Key Biscayne, South Beach, Coral Way, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami, Pinecrest and even parts of Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties, I’ve found that the best way to really get to know a place is to walk it. Whether you want to grab a bite or drink, find a great gift for yourself or someone else, or set off to discover the best places to take visiting out-of-towners for a good time, there’s perhaps no where else on Earth that offers such an eclectic mix of mom & pop shops and internationally renowned brands as Miami does — and that alone makes every walk worth it.
