Seafood purveyors and restaurateurs join forces Oct. 19 to show off their mussels to adoring fans at the Coconut Grove Seafood Festival. Stop by the Wharf, a dockside pop-up market or learn the art of cooking your catch with culinary workshops taught by celebrity chefs. As the sun sways across the horizon so will your hips, thanks to the driving rhythms of the local bands. Adults are invited to enjoy craft beer and boutique wines or start their own shot contest with oysters on the half-shell. Aficionados of all ages are welcome, but kids under 12 can keep counting their blessings with free admission, access to the Surf’s Up! simulator and the Treasure Island obstacle course; CoconutGroveSeafoodFestival.com.
