Nichole Santana always aims to create peaceful spaces to inspire, create and entertain. “Amidst all the stunning spaces I see daily, it’s hard to streamline my style at times,” she quips. “For me, that means a mix of Contemporary, Organic Minimalist and Scandinavian styles. Pops of brass are always a fun touch!” The ever-changing cityscape of Brickell has been an amazing place for her creativity to flourish. “Taking walks among some of the most innovative architecture Miami has to offer is a great way to get inspiration for my projects,” she says. “When I’m on the hunt for something specific, other California Closets designers are an amazing resource. Chances are, any design challenge I’m facing has been tackled before, and I’m able to learn from them and add my own unique spin to each project.” In the end, her clients always come first. “As a designer, I facilitate your project from conceptualization to creation,” she says. “I like to start with a walk-through of the space to begin an open dialogue and envision the end result together. What comes next is turning those rough ideas into reality. By showcasing sample finishes and presenting real time 3D renderings, a final design solution is created that is a perfect marriage of functional and fabulous!”; CaliforniaClosets.com/Miami.

Always evolving: “Just when you think you have it all figured out, a new challenge arises that pushes you creatively,” she says. “It’s all the more rewarding when you come up with a solution that wows both you and the client.”

Happiest place on Earth: “I once had the pleasure of working with Disney enthusiasts on a whimsical and practical design,” she says. “Not only were we successfully able to display their collection of memorabilia, we also incorporated efficient storage solutions at the heart of their home.”

Start to finish: “A successful project to me is taking a raw list of needs and creating a masterpiece from scratch,” she says. “If you can dream it, we can do it!”
