Strong Team

Let’s face it: Teamwork is tough. But you know what’s worse? Wasting time. Determining the weakest link in your organization is probably one of the easiest things to do, yet one of the most difficult challenges to overcome.

Everyone knows that guy in accounting who has a hard time adding 2+2 or that pesky project manager who takes all the credit for wins but quickly points fingers when everything falls apart. Some people thrive on collaboration; some prefer to work solo. Regardless of whether you believe there’s an “I” in TEAM or not, one thing’s certain: If you work hard and stay honest, everything will work out in the end. Sometimes this means picking up someone’s slack to meet a deadline; sometimes it means forcing yourself to collaborate with a boss you can’t stand. Whatever the situation, you have the choice to either stick it out or get out. But I’ll go on record and say that it is possible to work in a team with zero weakest links, where everyone pulls their own weight and brings their respective strengths and experiences to the table. Forget about striving for a coveted corner office or earning that job title of your dreams — the true secret to professional happiness lies in working with people you respect and can grow with. And that alone is worth more than the fattest paycheck you can imagine.
