President’s Letter

Brickell family, it’s with great excitement and enthusiasm that I bid adeu to 2009 and welcome 2010 with open arms and a newfound appreciation for patience and all things new.
On December 10, 2009, Mario and I welcomed our son, Mario Mateo Cristobal into this world with open arms and an entirely different appreciation for the meaning of the word “love.” We are overjoyed at his arrival, and words cannot describe the feeling of gratitude that we have for this healthy baby that belongs to us alone.
Every new day brings about new experiences, new opportunities to practice our virtues of patience, gratitude and kindness; and ultimately, new moments of quiet bliss and pure and abundant love.
As we turn our focus to the new year, let’s welcome new moments of joy, love and compassion. Let us draw near to those who draw near to us and be satisfied in the current moment. The here and now.
There’s nothing more important than having a peace about where we are presently and the ability to just “be” and breathe. Enjoy this issue of Brickell Magazine, and know that in 2010 we will continue to pour our heart and soul into our work to ensure that you enjoy yet another great year of our publication! Have a wonderful, happy and fruitful New Year.
