As part of a social experiment series I was working on at the time, I spent a few hours with him, sketching out things like a house, a tree, a sun, a moon, a star, a beach, a pig and various stick figures of myself and my family. When I was done, he took me through the tedious process of breaking down the true meaning behind what I’d created. Everything mattered — size, proportion, placement, the shapes used…every last little detail was scrutinized, and the results, I have to admit, where amazingly accurate. Ever since that experience, I’ve used what I learned as a cool party trick. And it’s given me great insight into some of the people I’ve met while allowing them to understand themselves and their outlook on the world that much better.
