The Swiss watchmaking firm of Tag Heuer has long been associated with motorsports, from its iconic Monaco model to the Gulf Racing special editions. The firm now takes it a step further with the introduction of the Aston Martin Racing Formula 1 Chronograph, a watch that is equally adept at timing your laps around Homestead’s road course as it is at making sure you don’t miss your dentist appointment. This new model shares quite a bit of DNA with Aston Martin. Examples include the second hand and the leather strap (a first for a Formula 1 Chronograph from Tag) which both utilize the same very distinctive shade of lime green referred to as “lime essence” used on the Tag Heuer Aston Martin racecar. An automatic quartz movement drives the independently activated second, minute and hour hands while maintaining unerring time-keeping accuracy. The rotating matte black aluminum ring features a tachymeter scale while the hour dial is emblazoned with the Aston Martin logo, again in “lime essence.”; TagHeuer.com.
