The themes of Antuan Rodriguez’s work is just one of the many things that makes him stand out in a city of great artists. A prime example is The Other Dimension, which the Museum Of Contemporary Art North Miami is using to launch its Art Basel season. The exhibit reveals an artist who sees the universe from a range of diverse, scientific, philosophical and cultural perspectives, all integrated into one single approach. “My work is based on principles of positive vibrations, searching visual narratives to become high enough to connect to the universal spirit of intention, infinite time and codes of genuine global communications,” he says. “Art gives me life — it’s my playground to explore animate and inanimate objects.” A notable highlight of his 28-year career was project Base Paint, where he produced and curated 10 world-renowned contemporary artists with the goal of building a school in Haiti after the earthquake. Future plans include focusing on his film company, Alquimia Film, and turning The Other Dimension into a documentary film. “It’s already in the making,” he says; AntuanArt.com.

“The process to create art is a laboratory that inspires my spirit and keeps me going non-stop. I started painting when I was 4 — by the time I was 7, I already had my first exposition in Moscu.”
