At Cliff Drysdale’s Brickell Tennis Club, you will improve your coordination, stamina and performance on the courts…and perhaps acquire a new obsession for tennis skirts! Private lessons and group classes are provided, accommodating players of all levels with exceptional service and great programs. If you get good enough, you can even join one of their tennis leagues. The club features seven hydro-clay courts, along with a variety of services and amenities that include a snack bar and full-sized locker rooms. Brickell Tennis Club’s manager Tom Brownhill played tennis professionally for six years, and has trained pros such as Lleyton Hewitt and Mariana Lucic. He says that many area professionals and residents like to take part in tennis clinics Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to noon. “The clinics are fast-paced, fun and really help burn calories,” he says.
