The interactive Run2Date experience isn’t your typical 5K. The event is designed for participants to meet and connect. To make breaking the ice even easier, there are handy categories: Green: “Up For Grabs”; Yellow: “It’s Complicated”; and Red: “Hooked-Up, Not Available”. “We set out to develop an event that would appeal mainly to active single professionals and the hustle of their daily lifestyles,” says Founder Derek Hodes. “People are staying single longer, and meeting quality like-minded individuals hasn’t gotten any easier — in fact, it’s only gotten more difficult in the dating app age.” After the race, cross the finish line and enter into an exclusive 21+ private after-party featuring open bars, chill-out areas, food, professional DJs, interactive displays, lawn games and other fun activities, all under the city lights. Plus, a portion of the event’s proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami. The next race is Feb. 13. Who knows? You might meet your Valentine before you cross the finish line; Run2Date.com.
