Ciro Diaz arrived to Miami from Mexico 10 years ago, fell in love with the city and never left. It’s a common story, but one that Diaz never planned on. For the last 4 years, he’s worked at Graziano’s in Brickell, finding his way from serving tables to serving cocktails behind the bar. And he wouldn’t have it in any other way. “I believe that a nice glass of wine goes great with dinner, but at times you need a nice refreshing cocktail to open up your appetite before your meal,” he says. That’s why he likes serving up the Buenos Aires Martini which he’s certain is the perfect cocktail to represent Argentina. But don’t take his word for it, customers are loving it, too. “It’s definitely a drink to remember,” he says. When he isn’t cranking out libations, Diaz is in the gym lifting weights or spinning. In the end, he claims to have 2 true passions in life: fitness and serving. “The hospitality industry is a true artform and one that I want to continue to learn about and grow in,” he says. Luckily, he’s in a great place to learn as the Graziano’s family-owned chain of restaurants has been serving delicious Argentinean fare since 1991 and is recognized as one of the best steakhouses in Miami. “I love my job,” he says.
