It’s a match made in a particularly Miami heaven. Raised in the classically chic worlds of set design and fine arts, New York-based and Spanish-born creative Carla Cid De Diego was sure of perhaps only one thing: The art world she’d been ensconced in as the daughter of renowned sculptor Fernando Cid De Diego wasn’t nearly as unique from the world of fashion. Partnering with known art aficionado Jonathan Fakinos and fraternizing first with her father on a series of sculpture handbags entirely in their own class, the family’s fruitful collaboration has spawned a landmark location for Zenith Art & Fashion entirely its own. Carla is ecstatic that her gallery-cum-salon has spawned the exact artistic environ she was raised in. “We represent artists and designers from around the world, and in just a little over a year, we’ve grown to be one of the most eclectic and unique art galleries in Miami,” she says. “Perhaps my favorite thing about our space is that we produce events every month that can’t be exhibited on walls or pedestals, like music, dance, theatre, fashion shows…it’s our goal to create unforgettable experiences for everyone.” Always worth a look, and with a recent partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue in Brickell City Center and a London-based pop-up on the horizon, this is one mixed-media space with serious legs; ZenithArtAndFashion.com.
