Fine Vintage

Grapes aren’t just fabulous when fermented and turned into tasty wine. As it turns out, their vines also pack a hefty anti-oxidant punch.

L’Or de Vie is the result of a collaboration between Dior and Chateau D’Yquem, a renowned Bordeaux vineyard. The young vines are harvested at their peak efficacy to make L’Or de Vie’s potent La Crème, which luxuriously nourishes while helping to restore firmness; $350, Dior.com.

Right Tools
Why invest in high-quality makeup and then apply it with substandard brushes? Your look is only as good as the tools you use, and you can’t beat the NARS Kabuki Artisan brushes. Each one is made with ultra-soft goat hair and is ideally shaped for its specific purpose. Of course, it doesn’t hurt than their Japanese-inspired design makes them unarguably lovely to look at; $225, NARSCosmetics.com.

Common Sense
In the madness of new supplements, beauty trends and fads for keeping our bodies healthy, we often overlook our largest organ: our skin! Yes, there are thousands of different products out there. The beauty industry is a competitive one and it can be confusing to weed out the good from the bad. Sticking to a few simple rules and a daily regimen will guarantee you have and maintain healthy, radiant-looking skin, regardless of how much you spend on products. The most important things to do are to get 8 hours of sleep daily and drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water per day. This will keep your skin looking fresh, flushed of impurities and will help control break-outs. Next, you must follow a simple routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing twice daily. The cleanser will clean the dirt and make-up, the toner will absorb any oily areas of the face (usually the t-zone), and the moisturizer will balance the moisture and maintain elasticity. It’s also important to use moisturizers with SPF to protect the skin from UV rays. There are additional products that can be incorporated into the daily routine for targeted issues such as acne, wrinkles and anti-aging. However, following the basic rules of skincare will allow you to always have balanced, fresh and healthy-looking skin.
