California Nights is like a best friend that knows when to let you wallow in a depressive funk or when to take you dancing till dawn yet is always on-call. A departure from their lo-fi fuzziness of past releases, they’ve since embraced a cleaner more straightforward approach including guitar solos, usually an indie rock taboo. The Los Angeles duo’s live shows mirror the emotional peaks and valleys found in their studio work creating an authentic experience.
